First Wednesday Online Meeing
Our first on-line meeting using Zoom was by all accounts a success with 29 members and a speaker. It was even quite lively and fun with everyone joining in conversation before starting. One would think everyone was having Mimosa's with breakfast. Don't miss the next meeting. Its fun!

Ms Filemoni’s work helps international students with the challenges they face, including language barriers, unfamiliarity with American culture, homesickness, learning American teaching methods, intercultural communication and finding off campus housing.
Study Abroad and Global Engagement oversees partner agreements with foreign educational institutions. Organizes and facilitates faculty-led study programs in many countries. Works with third party programs to expand opportunities for students. Coordinates exchange program incoming and outgoing students. Recruits students to participate.

Sunup Board Happenings
Board Meeting Highlights - The Board has been meeting on-line every other Thursday to keep up with changing events. Some recent decisions include:

- All members will be billed an additional $3 per week in happy bucks to pick up some of the shortfall. Sunup finances however are in good shape.

-Discussion on the upcoming installation dinner on June 10th. It will depend on the city opening the ramadas by then and what members attitudes are concerning a gathering. It is possible the installation dinner could be postponed a couple of months. A survey will be sent out sometime next month.

- The Double Down Casino Night has been postponed until next year.

-Todd Clancy will be setting up a food collection drive for all Rotary clubs at his home. See below.

Todd Clancy -

The COVID-19 crisis is presenting massive challenges for food banks to address the sudden and dramatic increase of food insecurity for families right here in the Prescott area. It’s been a busy week for Sunup as we answer the calls for assistance from these food banks. Last week our club donated $500 to the Community Cupboard Food Bank and dropped off a load of exigent food supplies. The Community Cupboard usually assists 15-20 families a week; however, they are now dealing with 50+ families weekly.
Thanks to Sunup member Kelly Hong, we dropped off a large load of cooking supplies and food donations to the Salvation Army last week. Kelly donated the inventory when she closed her restaurant. Thank you, Kelly!
Finally, as most of you know from your e-mail, our club is organizing a Prescott Area Rotary Clubs food drive for the Yavapai County Food Bank. The food drive will take place from 4 -7 PM on this Thur. & Fri (Apr. 23&24), and Sat. (Apr. 25) from 9AM-4PM. Drop-off location is 1980 Coyote Rd. This is a contactless drop-off. Simply drop off your donation in front of the garage. We are asking for non-perishable items and personal hygiene items. Please see your e-mail for more details. If you can’t get out, you can certainly send you financial support. Yavapai County Food Bank is a non-profit, AZ tax credit organization. Their donation address is as follows:
P.O. Box 4151,
Prescott, AZ  86302
