The presentation will include videotaped messages by Carol Pandak, who has managed Rotary's polio eradication work for the past 20 years, along with a personal interview with one of the Afghan women who has been on the frontline, doing the dangerous door-to-door polio immunizations, which has cost so many lives. Camp Wamatochick Service Project Rescheduled to Saturday, February 19th
Written by Art Harrington
Due to our potential disturbance of the solitude that a guest group being hosted by the camp wished to have for their retreat this weekend, the camp asked us to reschedule our planned workday, for the assembly of the new steel bunkbeds, to Saturday, Feb. 19.
The winterizing of Cabin 12 at Camp Wamatochick so it can be used year-around is underway.
Join Prescott Sunup Rotary workday on Saturday, February 19th assembling new steel bunks and painting.
If you'd like to work with us on this project, please email Art Harrington at (arthts@msn.com).
Our Prescott High Interact Club has a fundraiser at Frozen Frannie's, 104 W. Gurley Street (near Raskin's Jewelers) this Thursday, Jan. 27. from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Club members will receive in the mail this week their personal "Let's Make A Deal" letter from Art Harrington, the club's Rotary Foundation Chair. This relates to our club's goal of achieving a 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club, with every member being a Paul Harris Fellow, and our annual club offer to match member donations to The Rotary Foundation, which are made by March 31, 2022.
In Honor of Sunupian Ben Tuttle 1931-2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Ben Tuttle. Ben was a longtime Sunupian (1986-2019) and past SunUp president. He and his wife Daniele relocated to Phoenix in 2019 to be closer to family. John Stewart fondly recalled, "Ben was Rotary through and through." Donna Jacobs said that Ben was a friend and mentor to many in the club and was a humble Rotarian leader.
While in Phoenix, Ben returned to the club where he first joined Rotary. In 2021, he celebrated his 90th birthday. Ben did many things to make Prescott and the world a better place. We mourn the loss of his light.
For anyone wishing to send a personal card to the family, it can be sent to Daniele Tuttle, 1322 W. Frier Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85021.
He will be very missed in our world.

President's Message
Richard Hernandez
Fellow Sunupians,
Who else besides me is loving this winter weather? Yeah, yeah I know we need to water but hey, that sunshine is really, really nice.
Well on a more serious note, it was good to see everyone last week. Our speaker Jim and Peg from Espire have quite a vision for our community. I’m not a pickle ball player, yet, but I will be enjoying the other amenities and supporting the re-emergence of activities at the mall.
Well, have a great start to your week and I’ll see you Wednesday.
