Kathy Murphy Reilly has been a resident of Prescott for the past 49 years. After a career in the restaurant business with her family, she married, had wonderful twin boys and decided to go to work with her husband at Bronzesmith Fine Art Foundry and Gallery at 7331 E 2nd St, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314
Bronzesmith is responsible for many of the local public art monuments and she gave an explanation of the bronze casting process as well as explain how to make a 15 inch sculpture into a 14 foot monument.
She explained how bronzes are made with a lost wax casting from a Ingot that is 94% copper as bronze is mostly copper. Bronze casting has been around for over 6000 years.
Bronzesmith Fine Art Foundry and Gallery has been creating limited edition bronze castings in Prescott Valley since 1991.
Their building at 7331 E 2nd St, Prescott Valley, was erected specifically for bronze casting and includes a central corridor for tours, a gallery and sculpture garden. They are fortunate to work with some of the country’s top sculptors.
Bronzesmith’s quality is a result of many years of hard work and dedication and has been a leader in the bronze casting field.
Each Thursday at 11:00 am we have a foundry tour that educates you about the lost wax process of bronze casting. Fun and informative! The cost is $10 per person. Please reserve your spot ahead of time. Individuals and small groups welcome!

Welcome to Prescott!
The Welcome to Prescott sign on SR 89S has finally been replaced to match the one that Frontier Rotary took the lead on and the three Prescott Rotary clubs paid for on SR89N at Watson Lake turnout. Marty Coleman, Bob Keys and A.J. Sheridan installed the new polycarbonate overlay sign on Saturday 3/11.23.
It was placed over top of the original wood sign which was out of date.
Sign was made by A&B Sign in Prescott. It was paid for by the three Prescott Rotary clubs. Great work!
