The SunUp Rotary Club wishes everyone a Happy Fourth of July!May we always be grateful for the freedom we enjoy and the people who make it possible. Let us uphold the true spirit of America and Rotary International by practicing kindness, loyalty, camaraderie, and serve our world to the fullest! Thank you speaker Brent DeSaye, Director of the Community Pregnancy Center Written by Jane Anne Shimizu, Chelsea Sederstrom and quoted from the CPC website. The speaker was Brent DeSaye, the Director of the Community Pregnancy Center in Prescott. "Community Pregnancy Center is a Christian, pro-life ministry that exists for the purpose of presenting the love and Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. We are staffed by Christian employees and volunteers who are trained in crisis intervention. We desire to assist our clients with educational information and compassionate support. Community Pregnancy Center relies solely on the generous support of people like you! We invite you to partner with us today by donating new or gently used baby supplies and necessities to our baby store!" Volunteering for Community Pregnancy Center is a valuable way to show the love of Christ in action. We invite you to join the CPC family and bring your special talents to those seeking support during a crisis pregnancy. They have 2 full time staff and 4 part time staff with 40 volunteers. Their fundraiser is Golf for Life at Antelope Hills on July 29th. But they can always use donations, especially: used clothing, diapers, new cribs only and car seats. Welcome New Rotary International President Jennifer Jones Quoted from www.rotary.org "Jennifer E. Jones, a member of the Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland, Ontario, Canada, has been nominated to become Rotary International’s president for 2022-23, a groundbreaking selection that will make her the first woman to hold that office in the organization’s 115-year history. Successful Blood DriveQuoted from: https://www.rotary5495.org/ "Rotary clubs in Prescott teamed up with The American Red Cross in May to conduct a community blood drive. According to Assistant Governor Joe Sweeney, the Rotary/Red Cross Blood Drive was a "huge success as we had 44 donors" that gave that day. The group photo of the Red Cross Team contains boxes of the donated blood that was transferred down to Phoenix to be used to save several people’s lives. Among Rotarians assisting with check-in, were, from left, Tom Hendershott and Carl Marsh from the Prescott-Frontier Club, and AG Joe Sweeney, who is also president of the Rotary Club of Prescott. "It was a lot of fun, and we met many donors that were interested in Rotary and what we do in the community," said Joe. "We are looking forward to holding another Drive on July 25 and then every eight weeks after," added Joe." Interact Ambassadors UpdateWritten by Arthur R.
