The collaborative Prescott Area Community Food Drive is shaping up nicely.
We are set up for 2-hour shifts at Safeway and Walmart over here in Prescott near the hospital, from 9:00 - 5:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 22-24.
Here is the Givsum link to the online page which our club members, family and friends can use to sign up for the shifts they are willing to work to help us with this effort to collect canned food and packaged goods for our two community food banks we have assisted in the past:
This centralized online volunteering program is set up to permit two persons to sign up for each shift.  If two have already signed up for a shift you attempt to choose, it will say "FULL," and you will be able to select another shift instead.
We encourage our club members, along with anyone else they believe might be interested in preforming this community service, to sign up and help us with our Prescott Area Community Food Drive.

Cruise-in for Veterans Show & Food Drive

On Saturday, May 14th the Cruise-in for Veterans will be held from 9 AM - 3 PM up at the Gateway Mall. As with the last Cruise-in, it will be located between the old Sears building (now Espire Sports) and Texas Roadhouse.

Rotary will have a canopy set up along with brochures and signs about our club and the other Rotary clubs in Prescott, along with our large Rotary balloon, etc. This event will be great fun for all; lots of cool cars (two show cars representing Sunup), good food and music.

Bring the family and have some fun!

Help is needed, particularly for setting up starting at 6 AM Saturday and for take down at 3 PM. During the day, we will want volunteers to be at our booth (canopy). The other Rotary Clubs in Prescott want to participate, but we do not have particulars on what they would volunteer to do thus far.

Please let me know if you can help:

Setup at 6 AM: Jim Huffman, Jerry Fohrman, other volunteers needed

During the event: volunteers needed at our booth from 9AM - 3PM

Takedown at 3 PM: Jim Huffman, Jerry Fohrman, other volunteers needed

I made it back!  Annette and I spent a couple of weeks on vacation but we are glad to be home.  It was good to see old friends and relax.

Our meeting last Wednesday was awesome; such an informative and interesting presentation.

This week's meeting is going to be a little different. We will not have a speaker.  Instead, we will have  a member wide discussion to gather feedback on what has become a controversial subject in our club.

Input from all is appreciated.  And I urge all to attend.

Thank you and have a great day,

Richard Hernandez
