Coming Back Together Again This Wednesday

It's back to setting the alarm and getting up in time to join us for our stimulating and energizing Sunup Rotary fellowship this Wednesday morning.  Plan to come hear Greg Mengarelli fill us in on what is actually happening with the World's Oldest Rodeo here in Prescott, over the 4th of July holiday.

Our Meetings:  We will be meeting at our usual 6:30 a.m. time the next two Wednesdays.  Then on the next week, Dec. 13th, our morning meeting will be dark, replaced by our annual Sunup Rotary Holiday Party that evening at 5:00.  The following Wednesday, Dec. 20, we will return to our 6:30 a.m. meeting time for a President's Choice Meeting.  However, the final Wednesday in December, the 27th, our morning meeting will be traditionally dark for Christmas.

After our first Happy Hour Mixer Meeting in November, our Club Board decided to hold that type of meeting quarterly, instead of monthly, as originally announced.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

There is a book being published in early December to help finance the Granite Creek Trail Mural Project.  The title is: "Making the Mural: Arizona's Longest Mural by One Artist."  Pre-orders are available for a discounted donation at www.trailmural.org.  The book will be available for full donation on the website after publication.  A book signing is planned for the 18th of December at 3 pm at the Prescott Library.  More information will be added on the website as it becomes available.  Those interested in individual notification may submit an information request on the website.  A press release is also planned at the time of publication.
Dewey goes to the local revival and listens to the preacher. After a while the preacher asks anyone with needs to be prayed over to come forward to the front at the altar.

Dewey gets in line, and when it's his turn the preacher asks, "Dewey, what do you want me to pray about for you?"

Dewey replies: "Preacher, I need you to pray for my hearing."

The preacher puts one finger in Dewey's ear, and he places the other hand on top of Dewey's head and prays and prays.

After a few minutes, the preacher removes his hands, stands back and asks: "Dewey, how is your hearing now?"

Dewey says, "I don't know, Parson, it ain't until next Wednesday."

Mrs. Marble, a Sunday School teacher, was telling her students about the time when Lot's wife looked back at Sodom she turned into a pillar of salt.

Little Percy interrupted. "My mommy looked back once while she was driving," he announced, "and she turned into a telephone pole."

Sometimes someone unexpected comes into your life outta nowhere, makes your heart race, and changes you forever..... We call these people "cops".
__

It's a really bad idea when a cop tells you, "Please, step out of the car," for you to say, "I'm too drunk, you get in".
