Installation Signup Sheet has been found! Please sign up at this Wenesday's meeting for the installation dinner to take place on June 16th, 5:30 at Goldwater Lake off Senator Highway. It will be at the Lakeview Ramada, same as past years. Come and celebrate incoming Sunup President Rich Hernandez!

The meeting was called to order by Clent.  Prayer was given by Donna Jacobs, Pledge of Allegiance by George.
Art Harrington introduced his guest Annie, the Interact Ambassador to Kenya, Scott Weldy  returned as well.  Other regular guests were Garrett Barstad (who is quite tall now)  and Joshua Walker (whose voice is much lower).
Thought for the day:  Be who you are and say what you feel.  Those who matter don’t mind and those who do don’t count.
Announcements:  Installation dinner will be at Goldwater Lake June 16th.  The sign up sheet is lost in space.
Jane Anne was SGT and notetaker so notes on SGT are scahce.  Eric Chester had to be shushed,  Richard and Laura fined for taking their name badges home, Clent for kissing up and Richard for sneaking out early.  Jack LaDuke said he loved the green stop signs, and Richard was fined for his rat zapper.  Jim Huffman where is your dinner jacket.
Our speaker was Kelly Pardis, was from The Good Samaritan Society Marley House Hospice care.   Kelly said their program is amazing because their patients want to come back to the Marely house because they can demand cookies.  She puts the spice in Hospice. Hospice is patient-driven.  Kelly informed us of the 10 important things to know about hospice.  Hospice is a Medicare benefit.  Your loved one will have a specific care team providing care at home.  Hospice care is available 24/7 but we are not in your home 24/7.  Hospice doesn’t always mean you are dying soon.  Hospice is about comfort care.  People wait too long to consider hospice.  Marley House is our community’s only In Patient Unit (IPU)  We support the family for a year after your loved one dies.  Good Samaritan is the community’s only non-profit, faith-based hospice.  Contact Kelly Paradis at:  928-778-5655, Cell 928-713-2292 or email her at kparadi1@good-sam.com.

Greetings my friends and fellow Sunupians. I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and that your week is off to a great start. Thanks to those of you who showed your support to the PHS Interact with their latest fundraiser with Chipotle. It is truly amazing what sour cream and guacamole can do for a burrito. Enjoy the rest of your week and I hope to see you all Wednesday morning.
