People were late signing up because of a problem with the link. We had a lively discussion about the weather, hummingbirds, fires and the monsoons. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 am.
Clent gave the prayer, Roy Loo did the pledge of allegiance and Glen Hammond (who was early) did the 4 way test.

The 1st in person Rotary meeting will be July 8th at El Gato Azul. YEA! No one will be allowed into the meeting without pants. They will also try and do a zoom meeting as well. Masks should be worn.
David Zimmer the District governor in his bright Hawaiian shirt thanked our President for the great job he did this year. He announced the Rotary International Convention will be online with many learning sessions June 20 – 26th. The opening ceremony will be Sat and Sun. Go to reconvention.org. On Sat at 10:00 am the District Recognition Event awarding 6 $2000 grants and the Rotarian of the year with the ‘Service Above Self’ award. Only 150 people get this award out of 535 Districts. The hospitality suites will be Tuesday the 23rd from 6-7 and Thursday the 25 from 6-7.
Someone gave a happy buck for songs not being virtual. There were many happy bucks for folks going on vacation.
Art Harrington was our speaker and he spoke on the topic of Arizona Rotary Youth Services. Rotary has had 5 youth services programs:
- Interact
- Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE)
- Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
- New Generation Service Exchange
Art went through how they develop young leaders for Rotary and where we fit into the family of Rotary with Rotaract Clubs and Rotary Community Corps. Rotary youth services is an integral part of Rotary.
