“People generally see what they look for, and hear what they listen for.” You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.

Courtney founded the Women's Empowerment Breakthrough in 2003 a non profit educational organization for teenage girls in Yavapai County and she started working on developing the Launch Pad in 2011. She loves working with teens because she remembers her teenage years as being particularly challenging and she wants to support teens in becoming who they want to be. She also believes teens are powerful people who can inspire and create great change in our community and it is an honor to support them in realizing their own potential. 7 years ago Courtney started The Launch Pad By Teens, For Teens. It is a youth run non-profit. Teens serve on the Board of Directors. It is the only non profit that has protected youth on their BOD. It is youth driven on many different levels:
Level 1-Get on Board-Leader Potential
Level 2-Be the Pilot - The programs are lead by teens & adults
Level 3-Stoke the Engine-Teens can get on the BOD or serve on the teen advisory council
Level 4-Share the Vision-Ambassador
