The Harrington Brothers
Thank you to Art and Tom Harrington for a lively performance of "Feeling Mighty Fine" by composer Mosie Lister, in the "Southern Gospel" style of music. Tom was in town to perform at the Singspiration by the Lake event. For the past 4 years Art has been leading free, informal Christian sing-along gatherings once-a-month, usually on the 4th Wednesday evening of each month during each summer. They are held at one of the picnic ramadas on the south shore of Lynx Lake. Art has a talented instrumental combo that accompanies the singing, consisting of acoustic guitar, harmonica, mandolin and string bass, along with my occasional violin participation. For more info contact Art: artts@msn.com
The Harrington Brothers don't usually sing a Capella, or this early in the morning, but thought our Rotarians might like to hear a sample of the kind of music they have performed over the years. And we certainly did!
Thank you for supporting Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones provides advocacy and safe shelter to adults and children affected by domestic violence. Christy Manning thanked everyone for the generous donations of detergents, towels, and financial aid. Special thanks to Todd Clancy for collecting and delivering it all to Stepping Stones.
Rotary Club Coalition: Yavapai County TRVFA Scholarship Committee
Last meeting, Art Harrington announced the Yavapai County TRVFA Scholarship Committee, which will be a coalition of the seven Rotary Clubs in Yavapai County, the Yavapai College CTEC Program (with its 8 centers), and The Rotary Vocational Fund of Arizona (TRVFA).
We are creating a new model for awarding scholarships, which will enable our Rotary Clubs to utilize, with qualifying recipients in this county, some of the dollars that are being contributed to our statewide Rotary Vocational Fund. Each of the participating Rotary Clubs will have a representative member of this Yavapai CO TRVFA Scholarship Committee.

Hello fellow Sunupians,
Have I told you recently how much I love hanging out with you on Wednesday mornings? Well, if I haven't, let me say it here: Sunup Rotarians ROCK!!
When I joined Rotary, I thought it might require a little work. No one told me it would be this much fun!
I've started to realize why Rotary has been around 116 years. It's because of people like you. People who are committed, trustworthy, and just plain. fun.
Help Spread Sunshine: If you currently know any Rotary members who are going through challenging times or if you'd like to volunteer to make calls and send cards to members and their families during sickness, hospitalization or loss, contact Donna Jacobs, Club Service Director to learn more: thejacobs789@gmail.com
