Thought for the day from Greg Barstad: When an individual, sect, or nation hates and despises another individual, sect or nation; they simply do not know the object of their hatred. Ignorance is at the bottom of it……..There is nothing in the genius of America more precious today than the spirit of religious and political tolerance in it’s application to our own people. – Paul Harris

Good morning Sun-upians … Last week’s meeting was pretty special, with the recognition of all those members contributing to the Rotary Foundation. Thanks again to Art Harrington for spearheading the “Let’s make a Deal” initiative … and thanks again to all of you who contributed to making this initiative the notable success that it is.
With some sadness, we note the loss of another esteemed member to the valley. For years, Rod Cordes has been an exemplar and one of the sustaining pillars of Sun-Up Rotary. In all sincerity, good luck and God speed Rod. Your presence at Sun-up will be sorely missed.
