Your support of The Rotary Foundation so far this year has helped to fund:

   •  432 District Grants
   •  1,057 Global Grants
   •  68 Disacter Response Grants

Our Prescott-Sunup Rotary Club members not only support TRF with our contributions each year, we actively participate in deciding where those funds will be spent.

DID YOU KNOW that Sunup Rotary this year co-sponsored one District Grant, and that we actively participated in four (4) Global Grants.  In fact, we served as the International Partner on two of those Global Grants.  We firmly believe that The Rotary Foundation is "The Enabling Arm of Rotary."  Through TRF, we continue to be enabled to do so much more good together, than we could ever hope to accomplish on our own.

CLUB SERVICE

Turn-about is fair play!  President Christy Manning had to don a birthday hat and special glasses, as we celebrated her birthday at last week's quarterly evening social meeting.

Launched this year by Co-Presidents Bob Ticer and Joe Sweeney, it has been our intentiion from the beginning for our satellite Prescott Valley Rotary Club to rapidly grow to the point where it could become its own separate chartered Rotary Club.  With 28 members now, it is expected that PVRotary will be chartered by Rotary International in August, having its own club leadership.

PV Rotary Club will be inducting at its meeting on Tuesday, July 8th, John Williams as their Club President for the 2025-26 Rotary Year.  His backround includes, serving as a traffic reporter for eight San Diego radio stations, as a painting contractor in Los Angeles, and as a classic car dealer in Modesto.  Alongside his wife Ivy and his brother Don, in Las Vegas he co-founded the Wheelchair Foundation, raising nearly $3 million to provide mobility to underserved communities.

Also to be inducted as President-Elect on July 8th will be Evelyn Nelson.  With degrees from Washington State University and Central Washington University, Evelyn served as a teacher for 14 years, before she moved up to the administrative roles of Principal and Superintendent.  She has a strong background in service organizations, having been both a Rotarian and a Kiwanis Club President in the past.

We heartily congratulate our satellite PV Rotary Club and their incoming new leadership!!

Remember that our own Prescott-Sunup Rotary Installation of our 2025-26 Club Officers, including President Jane Anne Shimizu and Pres-Elect Col. Russ Davis, will take place at the Goldwater Lake Ramada on Wednesday, July 9, at 5:00 p.m.

Items that we need include granola bars, cereal boxes, and instant oatmeal. We will have a sign-up sheet for those interested in helping with deliveries, which will be the last Wednesday of each month, from 9:30-12:00 pm at PASS.
