I hope you enjoyed the fun and fellowship at last week’s Sunup Times meeting! We were able to work together to build and prep nearly 80 American Flags for use by Touchmark, the American Legion and the Prescott Area Rotary clubs at our upcoming Veteran’s Day Parade event. Well done team!
This week we will have a small continuation of Sunup Times when Laura announces the results of the Community Service projects we voted on and a short synopsis of our big fundraiser on 24 Oct—the Second Annual Chili Cookoff! We have sold over 100 tickets (thanks Joe B.!) and still have 3 weeks (and the night of the event) to sell the remaining ~45. Quick reminder—the price went up to $30.00 per ticket on 1 Oct😊.
DID YOU KNOW – it’s official, Laura Vanderberg has been selected as the District Governor for 2029-2030! Here is a short note about her selection from our current DG, Joe Sweeney:
Dear District 5495 Rotarians,
I am thrilled to share some truly exciting news with all of you! After a careful and thorough selection process, our District has identified a remarkable leader whose passion, vision, and dedication to service embody the very spirit of Rotary.
It is my great pleasure to announce that Laura Vanderberg, PhD, PCC has been chosen to serve as District Governor for 2029-2030.
She is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Prescott Sunup and whose Rotary journey reflects a strong commitment to service, leadership, and strengthening clubs and communities throughout our district. Her full bio is attached.
