Even though our Wednesday morning meeting was cancelled, due to the ice and snow, our Satellite Prescott Valley Rotary Club did meet on Tuesday evening, inducting five new members to our club, who are committted to our PV Rotary Club. These new members include Gilbert Davidson, Prescott Valley Town Manager; Jennifer Hardison, Busiiness Banking with OneAZ Credit Union; Anne Keenan, self-employed Property Manager; Gary Murphy, retired business owner, and Kendall Day Schumacher, PV City Council Member, Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway, and owner of Day 2 Day Bookkeeping Service. WELCOME, NEW MEMBERS! Together wth Co-Presidents Bob Ticer annd Joe Sweeney, that makes 7 new members for our satelllite club. As Christy notes in her article, 7 more member applications have been submitted. The goal is for this club to officially charter as its own, independent Prescott Valley Rotary Club when they reach 25 members, and they have their own leadership structure in place. Until then, our Prescott-Sunup Rotary Club will be providing the support structure for the new club, and we will be handling the necessary reporting to Rotary International and the Internal Revenue Service. We have needed a Rotary Club in Prescott Valley for a long time, and it is exciting to see this new club growing so rapidly! We encourage you to bring with you, as your guest, any prospective members you may know who live in Prescott Valley, Dewey or Humboldt, to the next meeting at the PV Elks Club on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 4:30 p.m. CLUB SERVICE Our Family Fun Fest Fundraiser will include a Frog Float. Joe Brown, Matt Greenlee and Emmett Jones are working on the logistics of getting this set up, in compliance with OSHA standards. You will be hearing more about this in the weeks ahead. The next meeting of the Fundraising Committee is this Tuesday evening, Feb. 4, at 5:00 at Touchmark. All who are interested in the planning for our annual fundraiser are invited to atend this meeting. COMMUNITY SERVICE It's getting close to that time when we will be opening our Sunup Rotary Snack Shack for the Little League baseball games at the Bill Vallely Little League Field. If you would like to help with this community service project, you are invited to meet with Laura Vanderberg, the project chair, after the club meeting this Wednesday.
