We enjoyed having Carly Duggan and Giana Glennan, two of our Prescott High Interact Club members, who served as Interact Ambassadors this summer, speak to our club, sharing their personal and team experiences. Our Interact District is unique in all the world by offering this opportunity to high school age youth. All Rotary districts around the world offer Club Level leadership training and service opportunities for those who apply and are selected to serve as Interact Club officers. Some districts, like ours, also offer a District Level of leadership training and service; but only our district offers this International Level leadership training and service program.
While both the Mexico and Kenya Ambassadors programs focus on "enabling the disabled," which is the motto of our Interact District 5495, they are distinctly different. The Mexico program inolves the opportunity to work with the amazing ALEM team of wheelchair-bound individuals, who have been trained by Rotary to become specialists in repairing and rebuilding wheelchairs for the disabled poor in Mexico. The Kenya Ambassadors program includes an immersive experience with the Maasai Culture, while based at the edge of the Maasai Mara game preserve on the extension campus of Prescott College. In addition, they have the opportunity to work with the Naivasha Rotary and Rotaract Clubs, who coordinate the distribution of the mobility equipment our Interact clubs in AZ have collected and shipped to Kenya in advance of the team's arrival.
The impressive poise and ability of these girls to address an audience of adults, such as our Rotary club, is partial testimony to the effectiveness of this program. It also has given these teens the opportunity to see first-hand, and to be inspired by, some the the international projects which our Sunup Rotary Club has been sponsoring in both of these countries, and to meet and work with Rotarians there, with whom our Rotary club has been building strong international partnerships for more than 25 years.
We are very proud of the Prescott High School Interact Club, which our club sponsors, and are especially proud of the members of this club who emerge to serve at the District and International Leadership Levels. Thank you, Carly and Giada, for your informative and inspiring reports to our club. You are evidence of the value of our club's significant annual investment in this Interact Ambassadors program.

My next door neighbor has a bunch of cats named Astrophe, Erpillar. Alogue and Awampus. I asked her how she came up with such unusual names.
She said, “Oh, those are just their last names. Their first names are ’Cat.’”

A woman was trying hard to get the ketchup out of the bottle. During her struggle the phone rang, so she asked her 4-year-old daughter to answer the phone.
'Mommy can't come to the phone to talk to you right now. She's hitting the bottle.'

In the first Freshman English class of the semester, the professor stated: "Let us establish some examples about opposites.
Mr. Cates, what is the opposite of joy?"
"Sadness," said the student.
"Fine. And the opposite of depression, Ms. Biggs?"
"Elation," she replied with a smile.
"Very good.
And you, Mr. Bishop, what is the opposite of woe?"
"I believe that would be 'giddy up'"

A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found himself in the women's locker room. When he was spotted, the room burst into shrieks, with ladies grabbing towels and running for cover.
The little boy watched in amazement and then asked, 'What's the matter, haven't you ever seen a little boy before?'
