With the Planetarium at ERAU celebrating its 10th anniversary, it was really great to have Eric Edelman, the Director, share with our club a very lively and interesting presentation about it.
The Jim and Linda Lee Planetarium is the only Arizona planetarium north of Phoenix, and is capable of seating 116 students and visitors, showing them the cosmos in 360-degree 4k resolution. Much more than just a planetarium, the facility contains multi-media learning software that can take viewers from the inner complexities of the human body to the farthest reaches of the known universe.
In addition to being an invaluable resource for faculty and students of Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott campus, the Jim and Linda Lee Planetarium hosts events and programming open to the greater Prescott and Quad-City public year-round. By inviting local schools and community members to participate in these events, Embry‑Riddle has the potential to influence local students and underrepresented groups in the community who previously had little to no access to STEM-based curriculum by exposing them to the possibilities of careers in high-paying professions that might have otherwise been unattainable.
Our "test meeting" was held in the Granite Mountain Room at Touchmark, with Joe Brown and his staff doing a wonderful job of hosting us for this successful hybrid meeting. The club's vote was unanimous to move our meetings to this new venue at the end of June, when our contract with the Hassayampa Inn ends.

All-Vets Memorial Cleanup
It was a great crew at the Courthouse Square on Saturday morning to help polish bronze and do other maintenance on our All-Vets Memorial. John Stewart, Project Chair, reminded us that this is our 20th year doing this.
